5th Annual Fall All-Phase Developmental Program For 60' x 90' Field
Presented by Saratoga Travel Baseball & Saratoga Sports Club
A new chapter in your son's baseball career is coming up and that is the transition to the big field. We want to extend an invitation for your son to be a part of our transition program onto the big field with the Saratoga Lightning. We enter our 5th year offering this program open to all 7 & 8 graders in Saratoga Springs middle school. We start the first week of September and wrap up by the end of October. We do not make cuts for fall ball, all registrants are accepted in this age group.
Saratoga Travel Baseball is a dedicated group of baseball coaches within the Saratoga Community and caters only to students who attend Saratoga Springs School District. Our focus is to assist in making the transition over to the Big Field easier and improve player’s on-field baseball training while establishing team culture and preparing your ballplayer for the next level of baseball. Saratoga Lightning will have 6 Teams for the 2020 Summer Travel season ranging from 13u up to an 18u college showcase team. We strive to give saratoga athletes an added edge with college recruiters by having them compete against the best competition. We teach & Encourage our players how to overcome adversity and prove themselves against better competition. Our players learn to TRUST THE PROCESS.
We have workouts at East Side Rec & Saratoga Sports Club during the week on Tuesday & Thursday evenings. The first 4 Sundays we have 2.5 Hour controlled inter squad scrimmages so we can teach and go over game type situations. Players will get live at bats, Pitchers will throw live to batters from the 60’ distance. The last two Sundays we schedule games against other travel baseball clubs we have relationships with who do much of the same with this age group.
Coaches Cuthbertson, Babcock, McBee, Cook, Moore, Mitchell and McArthur along with some of our Varsity players collectively work with all the boys during the team weekly workouts and scrimmages
We understand many of the boys play a fall sport which is encouraged, we do not expect perfect attendance during fall ball. We take more players in the fall knowing kids might have conflicts for games. We utilize Team Snap for communication so you can confirm your attendance for games/practices. Fall Ball is laid back and our focus is on development not winning.
Registration will be open until 8/25 at which time we will order Hats/Jerseys for the season. You must set up a TeamSnap account in order to complete the fall ball registration process. A $25 deposit is required to register. The sign up buttons will direct you to set up a Team Snap registration page.
An email will go out at the end of August with details on workouts and schedule. We look forward to having your son join us for the next chapter of his baseball career. The cost for the fall ball season will be $300. All players will receive an unlimited membership to Saratoga Sports Club during the months of September & October. You have 24/7 access to facility & unlimited training classes / tunnel rentals at no additional charge. New players receive a Saratoga Lightning Hat and Jersey. If financial assistance is need please contact coach McBee, we do our best to make sure all boys have this opportunity no matter the situation.

Fall Ball participants will have the opportunity to play for the 2020 Saratoga Lightning summer travel teams. Based on numbers we will have either 1 or 2 teams at the 13u level for 2020. Season rosters will be announced at end of fall ball. Off season and winter workouts are held at our Saratoga Sports Club training facility to get players ready for school tryouts. Saratoga Lightning players are not guaranteed positions on school teams. Saratoga Sports Club / Saratoga Lightning is a registered 501c3 Not For Profit Organization.
